F1Cast stops all activities PDF Print E-mail

Over a year ago, after doing a Dutch podcast about Formula 1 for over 5 years already, I decided I wanted to create an international version as well. F1Cast.net was born. Together with my niece Tara, who became the infamous Official F1Cast Grid Girl Guru, and the always ready for a joke, Simon Smith, well known in the simracing scene because of his commentating work, we started to record the F1Cast after every race, or so we tried. It was very much fun doing it. We all love the sports, and we all love to talk about it. But sometimes, it just doesn’t work. You can’t really explain why not, it just doesn’t. Whether it’s the shortage in time we had to put into the whole marketing part, or we just weren’t good enough, I don’t know. But it just didn’t gave us in return what we put in.

It’s a hard call. But sometimes you just have to make them. So we decided to stop with the F1Cast. Both in the Netherlands, where it was very successful, and the international one.

Simon, Tara and me would like to thank you all. You gave us a chance to entertain you with our epic discussions and rants. We did it for you.

The website will stay online, so the episodes can still be downloaded and listened to, it just won’t get any new one anymore.

Thanks, and we’ll see you somewhere else soon!

A great new episode about the latest race in Shanghai, where we saw an epic race, since a very long time. Lots of overtaking, strategy differences, and a very impressive race by Mark Webber, coming from 18th place to the podium in third.

You can download the episode manual, or listen to the player below. To never miss an episode, you can also subscribe for free to the RSS feed.

Also, please support Maurice his racing career. Let's join hands, and get the F1Cast Logo on the roof of his car! Donate anything, even if it only is a dollar or euro, and you will be thanked for life. If you donate more then 100 euro, you will be officially honored by name in the show, and we will grant you the title of Executive Producer for that show :) Click on the paypal donate button to get the goal of € 1.000,-

The first race of the 2011 season is a fact! Vettel won by far, McLaren surprissed us all, as did Petrov with his repeating 'keeping Alonso behind'.

Listen to all the good stuff at F1Cast.net!

This episode was recorded live at the Dutch sister www.F1Cast.nl.
